Norma Jean Wilkes MA has lived 25 years with Bipolar II Disorder. Her story of weathering the many storms of her condition is raw and compelling. Her personal account of living through a roller coaster of moods, thoughts and behaviors has touched many lives and given hope to others who struggle with brain disorders.
Norma Jean is a Peer Specialist and volunteers for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, The Mental Health Association and the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. She has a history as a therapist, workshop presenter, public speaker and storyteller. This event is sponsored by The Mental Health Association in Forsyth County and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Winston-Salem.
