If you have an idea for a feature article for our e-magazine, Fellowship Matters, please email Gregg Jamback at FellowshipMatters@uufws.org with your suggestion and preferred timing. Gregg will assign a writer to the article unless you request to be a guest writer. Please plan ahead to get on the schedule for a particular issue. We are looking out months in advance. Thank you.
PARENTS: The RE committee welcomes you to RE Information Sessions regarding the 2014-2015 Program Year. There will be important information at these events, so it is important that you come. There will be 2 sessions based on age: 5-12th grade, Sep 12 6:30-8 pm, and Infants-4th grade, Sep 13, 10-11:30 am.
Have you been sick, lost a loved one, or had another significant milestone, or do you know of someone who has a need? The UU Care Committee would like to know how they can help. We send cards, provide a meal or two, and lend a friendly ear. Just let us know. (If you know of someone for whom you have a concern, with their permission let us know.) We can inform the minister if you wish. The information you provide remains confidential unless you want to share publicly. Contact us at care@uufws

"Jewish and Christian teachings which call us to respond to God's love by loving our neighbors as ourselves" is one of our Six Sources for Unitarian Universalism. Yet many of us cringe in discomfort, or complain, or even feel disenfranchised if we encounter a reference to a Bible verse or story. What causes that discomfort? Is there a way to handle the discomfort other than simply avoiding references to the Bible?
