The Fellowship book club met on Tuesday, September 16th and was attended by nine members. It was great to be back after our summer break. We welcome any new members who may be interested. Remember we meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the Fellowship library. After a lively and interesting discussion of The Burgess Boys we set the selections for the rest of the 2014 and 2015 year. Click to view the list.
Join your fellow UUs for a spooktacular party with food, fun and dancing Saturday, October 25 from 7-10 pm. Prizes for best costumes! Adults only. We will begin selling tickets in the foyer each Sunday starting September 28: $10 per person. If you have any questions firstname.lastname@example.org.
Beginning the first Sunday in October (Oct. 5, 2014) and each following first Sunday of every month, two Board members will be available in the Library between services at 10:15 am to discuss what went on at the Board meeting and other topics of interest to you. We will call it the Board Coffee Chat. We hope you will join us to become familiar with what the Board is doing to help grow our Fellowship. Your input and interest are important to the members of the Board as we strive to implement our mission.

We invite you to investigate with us how we can be kind and compassionate towards ourselves on a more consistent basis. We will start the meeting with a discussion of the second paragraph of the Humanist Manifesto III, which begins with the sentence “Humans are an integral part of nature, the result of unguided evolutionary change.” If you are interested in Humanism with Heart, please send your name, email address and preferred phone number to email@example.com to join our email list or click to sign up online.

CHANGE regular meeting of members' institutions to fellowship and discuss current CHANGE agenda

Muddy Creek Greenway is one of many birding "hot spots" in Forsyth County. We will meet at Don Kautz & Carol Ziel's house, 4620 Century Oak's Lane at 8:30 am. Don will have a picture guide of the birds that have been seen the previous week there, and off we will go. The Greenway is in their backyard! This is a paved walk, so good walking shoes will do. We won't walk more than about a mile. We will spend about an hour out looking for birds, and then come back to Carol and Don's for a light brunch.
