Are you a responsible adult who loves working with youth? The Fellowship is looking for someone who is excited about working with our bright young people as they shape their progressive faith journeys and engage in social action. Fellowship policy prohibits members from becoming staff, but we hope our members will help us recruit the right person for the job.
The position is quarter time (ten hours per week), with weekend hours required. It includes co-leading a weekly Sunday session of the youth group, and periodically going with the youth and chaperones on field trips and overnights. The Youth Director reports directly to the Director of Religious Education, and the YD would have regular meetings with her.
The ideal candidate has both experience and enthusiasm, an understanding of group dynamics, good communication skills, impeccable professional boundaries and practice of right relations with youth and their families.
If you feel a call on your heart for this vital work, contact Pam Lepley, Director of Religious Education (firstname.lastname@example.org; 336-659-0331) for more information or an application.
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Winston-Salem is an equal opportunity employer. While there may be qualified applicants within our membership, it is our policy not to hire current members.
