Christmas Day Gathering
UUFWS is open on Christmas Day! The Worship Committee has planned "Our Family Gathers" to bring our loving and supportive community together on Sunday, December 25th. All are welcome; invite your friends, neighbors and anyone who might be alone or hungry. At 10:30am we will light the chalice and serve ourselves a potluck Christmas brunch. We will ask for volunteers to come to the microphone and share poignant holiday memories as we share a meal together. After we finish eating, the Service will continue with familiar holiday songs, music and a period of silent meditation accompanied by the Tibetan Budhist mantra "Om Mani Padme Hom". After the Service we will remain open as long as there is a desire to be together. Bring board games, cards and extra snacks.
Please plan to bring food and beverage sufficient to share. Look for the potluck signup sheet near the kitchen if you wish to provide advance notice of the brunch food you will bring. It will greatly help with planning. If you have a last minute change of plans, think of your Fellowship family and gather with us even if you did not sign up. We will also be collecting canned goods for donation to a local food bank or Crisis Control Ministry. Be as generous as possible. Contact John Taylor, Chair, Worship Committee (john@simplykiwi.com) or Ron Fittro, Service Leader (nurseron@ymail.com) if you wish to volunteer to help or need additional information.
