Part of being in community together is having fun together. In addition to worshipping, volunteering and learning together, we plan a variety of events for the sole purpose of having fun and connecting with each other. Reach out and join us. And if you don't see something you wish you had, help us plan it. Our Fun & Games Committee will help you.
First Friday Potlucks
The first Friday of every month, 6:30 pm
Join us every month on the first Friday for potluck supper. This is an intergenerational event open to all, including visitors and first-time guests. Bring your friends. Come early at 6 pm to help set up, if you can. We begin serving at 6:30 pm. Bring a dish to share.
Every Thursday, 9-11 am in the library
Coffee Chat is a weekly discussion group led by our Director of Religious Education. All are welcome. Coffee and snacks provided. No formal agenda. Drop in for part or all of this weekly chance to chat, laugh and share.
The second Tuesday of each month, 11:30 am
Lunch Bunch is a social gathering open to all members and visitors. Diners meet at a different restaurant each month. Restaurants are listed on our calendar. For more information, email us.
The first and third Tuesdays of each month, 10 am - 11:30 am
Knitters, crocheters and other needleworkers are welcome. Any skill level. We will help if you need it. Just show up. Call the office at 336-659-0331 with questions.
The second Monday of each month, 1-3 pm
The Senior Group is for seniors, or those interested in older people, to get to know one another and learn more about senior activities, opportunities and issues.
Dates and times chosen by each group
Dinner Circles are organized twice a year into groups of usually eight adults, to bring a dish and enjoy a meal in one another's homes. After four meetings, the names are shuffled (couples and chosen partners are kept together) and everyone moves into a new group and gets to know new people. For questions or to join, send email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some Saturdays, 8:30 am-1 pm. Check the calendar for specific dates.
Sometimes it's bagels and coffee or sometimes beer and hotdogs, but always this group has fun while keeping our grounds looking great. Email the Grounds Committee to learn more.
